1. Who We Are

Skills. ("we," "our," or "us") is a digital business card platform operated at myskillscard.xyz. We help individuals and professionals create, share, and manage digital business cards.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Account information: name, email address, and password when you create an account
• Card content: name, title, phone number, website, social links, profile photo, and any other information you choose to put on your card
• Media uploads: photos, videos, and GIFs you upload to your card or gallery
• Testimonials and reviews you add to your card
• Lead capture data submitted by visitors to your card (if you enable that feature)

Information collected automatically:

• Card view events: when someone views your public card, we log a timestamp, the card username, and the referrer URL
• Device/browser information (user agent) associated with card views
• QR code scan events if you use the in-app QR scanner
• Authentication tokens for maintaining your signed-in session

Information from third parties:

• If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google profile name, email, and profile photo from Google

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and display your digital business card to people you share it with
• To authenticate you and maintain your account session
• To provide you with analytics about your card views and leads
• To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, welcome email)
• To process upgrade requests and communicate with you about your account
• To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse
• To improve the Skills. platform and fix bugs

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Public card data: The content of your card (name, title, contact info, social links, etc.) is publicly visible to anyone who visits your card URL or scans your QR code. You control what goes on your card.
• Service providers: We use Firebase (Google) for authentication, database, and file storage; and EmailJS for transactional emails. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Skills., its users, or the public.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure, which is hosted in the United States. Firebase implements industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.

We implement security rules at the database level to ensure users can only access their own data. Publicly accessible card data is intentionally readable by anyone with your card link.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Access and correction: You can view and edit all of your card content and account information directly in the app at any time.

Account deletion: You have the right to delete your account and all associated data. You can do this directly within the app — go to your account settings and tap "Delete Account." This will permanently delete:

• Your Firebase Authentication account
• Your user profile in our database
• All of your digital cards
• All view analytics associated with your cards
• All leads collected on your cards
• All uploaded photos and media

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Data portability: You can export your leads at any time as a CSV file from the Analytics tab.

Email communications: You can opt out of non-transactional emails by contacting us at myskillscard@gmail.com. You cannot opt out of transactional emails (such as password resets) while your account is active.

7. Cookies and Local Storage

Skills. uses browser localStorage (not traditional cookies) to:

• Store your Firebase authentication session so you stay signed in
• Cache your saved cards for faster loading
• Remember QR scan history on your device
• Track lead capture rate limits to prevent spam

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

8. Children's Privacy

Skills. is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at myskillscard@gmail.com.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

Your Skills. card may contain links to third-party websites and social media profiles. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. When visitors click links on your card, they leave the Skills. platform.

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your personal information, and opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information). To exercise these rights, contact us at myskillscard@gmail.com.

11. International Users

Skills. is operated from the United States. If you are accessing the service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using Skills., you consent to this transfer.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Your continued use of Skills. after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
